Dan Senor is an American foreign policy expert. He was the host in the video with Nadav Eyal. The video above was recorded some hours after the Eyal video. Since Senor is American, this conversation focuses more on how Israel’s attack on Iran affects US policy. The video is 55 minutes long and starts at the 11-minute mark—although the whole thing is worth watching.
One of the issues Scott and Dan discuss is why Israel and Iran are not allies. If it weren’t for the current Iranian government, such an alliance would make lots of sense. The two countries have a lot in common and no real reason to be enemies.
Senor thinks that a reasonably successful conclusion of the current Israeli-Iranian war will be an important turning point in Middle Eastern affairs, including eventually a closer relationship between Israel and Iran.
Dan Senor has a good foreign-policy mind and is worth listening to.
